GDPR Guide
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs engaged specialist firm Nettitude to deliver a GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guide specifically for vehicle clubs, to support their efforts to comply with the regulations.
It provides a breakdown of issues clubs might encounter, explanations around the 12 Steps to GDPR compliance and a Q&A session for common scenarios that might occur.
It must be understood that the scenarios listed and answers provided are not an exhaustive list of all issues car clubs will encounter, so further engagements with Nettitude may be required in order to cover specifics pertinent to a specific club.
The full report, updated in April 2021, can be downloaded from our Members Area.
In addition, we are sometimes asked whether clubs should register by completing the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) Self-Assessment Registration. Yes, you should, please see here for further information: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/data-protection-fee/self-assessment/
